Writer Greg Russo arrives at Ludlow College to support his daughter Katie as her marriage begins to implode.

When Katie’s future at Ludlow is thrown into question, Walt offers Greg a deal to keep them both on campus.

While Greg stumbles through his first day teaching at Ludlow, Katie struggles with her suspension, and Archie helps Sunny find an advisor.

To avoid Walt's party, Greg throws himself into helping a student. With her suspension lifted, Katie contemplates casual dating.

While Greg deals with his ex-wife's visit to campus, Katie reconnects with Archie, and Dylan thrives in her new role.

A newly confident Greg offers to help Tommy. Meanwhile, Sunny wrestles with a prestigious job offer, and Katie confronts a student.

As Greg, Cristle, and Tommy attempt a return to normalcy, Archie meets Sunny's father, and Walt makes Dylan an unsatisfactory new offer.

Greg helps support an emotional Katie, Dylan steers a student towards poetry, and Archie engages more with Sunny's pregnancy.

While Greg empowers the hockey team before a key game, Katie focuses on getting tenure and Archie receives feedback on his book.

After Katie sets the record straight, Greg grapples with their changing relationship and prepares to say goodbye to Ludlow.
